Meet Our Doctor | Dr. Geremie Palombaro DO, MS
Dr. Palombaro is a Board Certified surgeon with specialized training in both ophthalmology and oculoplastic and facial reconstruction, focusing on the eye area. Dr. Palombaro is one of the few surgeons in the Mercer County area trained in oculoplastic surgery (plastic and reconstructive surgery of the eyes and surrounding structures). He possesses exceptional training and experience, which uniquely qualifies him as a specialist in performing cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries of the area around the eyes and face, as well as surgery of the eye itself.
Dr.Palombaro grew up in Vestal NY and received his Bachelor of Science degree from
Binghamton University. He attended Medical school at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) where he received his medical degree. Dr. Palombaro then completed a year of general medicine at University Hospitals in Cleveland Ohio.
He returned to Erie to complete his 3 years of Ophthalmology surgical training at LECOM, where he was awarded the honor of chief resident and also received a Masters of Science Degree. He then completed a fellowship in Ophthalmic plastic and facial reconstructive surgery in Texas. Since 2014, Dr. Palombaro has devoted his energy and expertise to Mercer County’s own first-rate comprehensive Ophthalmology service at Valley Eye Center, serving patients of all ages.
Dr Palombaro is a member of the AOA, AAO, Pennsylvania medical association, and the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Palombaro performs surgery at the Edgewood Surgical Hospital, Sharon Regional Health System and UPMC Horizon.
